My Wonderful School Kids!

This fall I got a job working for a homeschool family as their full-time tutor/teacher for the five elementary aged children. I have been enjoying the teaching very much and love each of the kids and their unique personalities. This last week we had a "photo hour" and took some outside school pictures. I thought it would be fun for my readers to get to see who I work with every day!

Fall Fun with the babies!!!

Baby Amelia is now 4 months old and as precious as ever! She has been SO MUCH FUN! A few days ago Amy and I had some fun with the kids playing in the leaves with them.
Anders (17 months) is very protective of his little sister and has kisses only for her - smile.Anders and I had lots of fun playing in the leaves. I taught him how to kick them and make them fly. He really thought that was neat! His favorite word now is "bus" and any time a car drives by he says "vroom, vroom, bus, bus!!!" and gets very excited. It has been great watching his vocabulary increase.

Fun In Indiana!!! ~ June 1-5

Last week Mary and I got to travel with Christa and her sister Charise, down to Indiana to visit their grandparents and other relatives. It was a fun few days and lots of great "sister time!" Here is a cute Sunday afternoon photo shoot in a park after church.

The night before we left we took the Schofield's cousin bowling. I almost got a 'turkey' (three strikes in a row!) on the last frame! Now that never happens!!!

Caitlin's High School Graduation - May 12, 2007!!!

Caitlin graduated from M.A.C.H.E. (MN Association of Christian Home Educators) on May 12th along with 87 other students. The day was beautiful and Katie

was very excited to graduate! We were all disappointed though, that Daniel had to work and was flying in NY that weekend. :-(

"Daddy's 4 girls!" all dressed in matching black & white! Caitlin, Mary and I sang a trio for the commencement and all decided that we should at least coordinate our attire. :-) It was lots of fun!!! Especially since Amy joined us in also matching. Congratulations Katie-Tadie! I love you and am so proud of you!!!

Graduation - I'm done!!!

I finally graduated on May 5th from Pillsbury Bible College in Owatonna, MN! Graduation went well and I had the opportunity (along with 5 others) to give a brief testimony at commencement of how Pillsbury influenced my life. I am amazed at the goodness of the Lord in helping me really make it through and graduate. I am grateful for the many opportunities and experiences that I had at Pillsbury. I learned so much both in and out of the classroom and made many lifelong friends! I now have a double major in Bible and elementary education and look forward to using all that I learned in the future.

Student Teaching

Hello All! Student teaching has been going well and I am learning a lot. I was able to obtain some pictures from the school that were taken during our week of assessment testing. I am enjoying my time at Fourth Baptist Christian School and like my supervising teacher. The more I am in the classroom however, the more I realize how much I still have to learn.
I will be starting my sixth week tomorrow. It has been fun to get to know the kids and their individual personalities. They are all very sweet children!

Hello family and friends! This last week I was able to get some fun senior pictures taken with my friend Christa. I leave school in only two days! Wow my six weeks of block classes have flown by! I am excited to begin student teaching next Tuesday. I will have 22 1st graders. It should be heaps of fun! I will try to keep this updated with my
teaching experiences.

The Last of Joyful Praise!

My quartet 'Joyful Praise' sang in our last performances on December 8-9 at Pillsbury's Christmas concert. It was bittersweet. We had a blast traveling and singing together, yet I am glad to be out of the van - ahem. I have many fun memories from the whole experience and am grateful for the opportunity to have ministered in that capacity. I am also blessed to have gotten to travel for a whole summer with my best friend Christa (thanks girl, for the great memories)!

Sweet Baby Anders is growing so fast! He is already 41/2 months old. He has brought only joy and happiness to the Miller/Nyberg clan. Anders has the sweetest disposition and the most kissable cheeks ever! He still has a head full of soft baby hair. I think that he has the most blond hair I have ever seen on a baby. Amy has already had to trim it because it was getting too long (or should I say she had daddy cut it...?)
