More DC

We obtained our tour of the captial through congressman Jim Ramstads office so we had to meet in his building for our tour to start. Just as we arrived at the congressman's door he walked up! We obtained a photo with him and met in his office for a few minutes along with the other family of four who were also there for a tour. It was funny because they also were from Plymouth! What a small world we live in! :-)Inside the dome of our country's capital! It was absolutly amazing! Words can't describe it!

This is my very favorite picture of the capital! I love the trees bordering it!!!
Inside of the Library of Congress - also an incredible place! Our forefathers had such vision for our nation! An absolute "must see" building to visit while in DC. And...any citizen can obtain a library card there...super cool!

~Jefferson Memorial ~
This is one of my favorite angles of Jefferson at the memorial!~ White House ~

White House from the top of the Washington Monument.
I like this shot because it offers a fun perspective.

Washington DC

In the National Portrait Gallary we took some fun photos with the different statutes. We had a ton of fun posing with certain "ladies" - heehee!

~ Arlington Cemetary ~
They have 25 burials a day! After we had walked around we visited the visitor center and talked with some staff there who said Arlington will be full by 2020. It was such a peaceful place. Everyone visiting was very respectful and quiet.

Playing in Auntie Beshie's room

Oooo, Beshie's teddy bear!
Hmmmm...I wonder what I should get into now in Auntie Beshies's room?

Fun at the cabin

Amelia is sitting up so well now. When we were at the cabin Anders pushed his truck towards her. I then looked at her and then looked at the truck and realized we had a perfect size load for the truck!!! Hee Hee!
Well...she maybe didn't quite fit, but she sure was cute!

Anders loves his tape measure! We had a broken one that he has now claimed. He pulls it out and says "one, two, three, nine!" Don't really know where he got the nine from?
He always skips from three to nine.

Deo Cantamus Concert

Last Saturday I sang for the third time in the Deo Cantamus Choral.
The songs were really fun to sing this year.
The children's choir was also a part of the program. Three of my students sang in it. They really enjoyed getting to sing in it again. Although, Jesse I think liked the gym time during their practicesmore than he did anything else. When we were doing school a day before the concert I asked him if he was excited to sing in it again and what was he looking foreward to? He looked at me and said "Oh the games and playing in the gym is great! Miss Bethany, do you get gym time during your practices?" I smiled & said no. He then said "well, you should join my choir then! Because we get playtime!"
The two boys on the far right are Sam & Jesse. Nadia is directly under the left yellow banner with her head looking like she has sun beams framing her.

Snow Day with the Kneen's

Last week when it snowed all day the kids & I made a giant snowman. It was heaps of fun and the kids were excited because Frosty was taller than me! My favorite thing about our snowman was Nadia's very creative rock bowtie. Much better than a scarf... :-)
So, how tall is our Frosty anyway? He measured in at 6 ft!

Easter ~

Here we are - all four girls together! We always try to take a kids picture on Easter Sunday. It was really fun to get to see Amy and Eric since they went to Eric's side of the family for Easter dinner.

The kids looked so sweet today! Anders in his little Easter suit & Amelia in her pink smocked dress.

Hey! I want the green egg! :-O

Christa visits!

Today I had a fun surprise when Christa stopped by to say hello on her way back down to Owatonna. Dan and Christa ministered at a church in Rockford, Mn and drove right by my house! It was such a treat to get to see you and catch up a little Christa! Thanks for stopping by!!! Love you!

Hello Georgia...here we come!

Two weeks ago the family and I attended a conference in a little town an hour from Atlanta. It was great getting to be in somewhat warmer weather. It was in the 50's and 60's and we were all in sandals and short sleeves while the Georgian's were in sweaters and coats - It was great!

What's that you said? I can't hear you....!
